Privacy Policy

TL;DR

Flowdget collects nothing. No account, no server, no trackers. All your financial data stays on your iPhone, in a SQLite database encrypted with AES-256. We literally have nothing to share about you, because we have nothing.

1. The one-sentence version

Flowdget is a 100% local app. We don't run a server, a database or an authentication system, so there is nothing for us to collect, transmit, or sell.

2. What data we collect

None. Flowdget does not create a user account, does not ask for an email address, does not generate an advertising identifier, and does not send any telemetry, usage analytics, or crash reports. The App Store “Privacy” card confirms it: category Data Not Collected.

Concretely, that means:

  • No analytics (no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, nothing equivalent).
  • No third-party SDKs that “call home” in the background.
  • No user profile, no cookies, no persistent identifier.

3. How your financial data is stored

Your transactions, categories, rules and settings live only inside a SQLite database stored on your device, in the iOS app sandbox. That database is encrypted with SQLCipher (AES-256). The encryption key is derived locally and never leaves the device.

If you delete the app from your iPhone, all of that data is gone with it.

4. Network connections the app makes

Flowdget runs fully offline. The only possible network interactions are:

  • StoreKit (Apple) when you buy premium: Apple handles the entire payment. Flowdget never sees your card details and only receives a purchase confirmation token.
  • Support email: if you tap the “Report a bug” button, your default Mail app opens with a pre-filled draft. Nothing is sent automatically — you decide what to send and when.

5. Backups

You can export an encrypted backup of your database through the iOS share sheet (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop…). The file is encrypted with your key and stays under your exclusive control. Flowdget never reads that file outside of an explicit action you take (import or restore).

6. Your rights (GDPR)

GDPR grants you a right of access, rectification, erasure and portability of your personal data. Because Flowdget holds no data about you:

  • Access: all your data is already on your device, accessible from inside the app.
  • Erasure: uninstall the app, or use “Erase all data” in Settings.
  • Portability: the backup export feature lets you retrieve your data at any time.

7. Contact

Data controller (even though there is no actual processing): Flowdget. For any question: [email protected].

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy (for example if a future version of the app introduces an optional new network feature), the new version will be published on this page with an updated date. No change will apply retroactively to past data — because there isn't any on our side.

9. Children

The app is rated 4+ on the App Store and contains no age-restricted content, but it is not designed for or directed at children under 13.
